Miessence Purifying Blemish Gel - I literally could not live without this gel – it’s amazing for pimples and my blemishes go down overnight.  Redness goes down almost instantly.  A must for anyone with acne, or anyone that gets occasional blemishes or breakouts.  I also use this gel on cuts and bites, as it has potent ant-bacterial and  properties and is very soothing and cooling on the skin.

Miessence Rejuvenessence Facial Serum - a potent serum that smells divine.  I use it in facials on clients and they always comment on it and ask what it is.  It improves the appearance of skin, nourishes and revitalises – great to use at night time (either on it’s own or underneath moisturiser) and the serum is a fantastic ‘pick me up’ for your skin in winter.  It has potent ingredients like rose, calendula and carrot which will boost the appearance of your skin.  I’ve used this serum on all skin types; from oily, to dry.  I have an oilier combination skin, and it doesn’t make me break out.

Miessence Firming Eye & Neck Serum – another absolute favourite of mine which I use on a daily basis.  Chamomile comes through in the scent (so nice!) and it’s the perfect texture for around the eyes.  The eyes are the most delicate part of the face and you need to use a cream that is not too heavy that it drags and sags the skin.  This one is perfect for this delicate area.  Eye cream is a must for every single woman – oil is not produced around the eye area so we do need to manually give is some moisture!

Miessence Garnet Exfoliant – if there’s one thing everyone must do for glowing skin it’s exfoliate!   Exfoliating gets rid of the dead skin cells so your skin can properly absorb skin conditioners and moisturisers.  If  you don’t exfoliate, you’re wasting the other products you’re using as they won’t be as effective.  I’m fussy with exfoliants, and this one is the best I’ve used to date.  It  has a beautiful citrus like smell and smaller beads that really give your face a good scrub – but it’s not too  harsh.  I personally don’t like the bigger beads as I feel like they don’t ‘get in there’ enough (because I’m prone to breakouts & blackheads).   You should scrub 2 – 3 times a week, depending on your skin type.  If you have really sensitive skin, I recommend you use the Miessence Gentle Exfoliant (smaller beads for sensitive skin).

Miessence Reflect Outdoor Balm – this sunscreen is the best.  The active ingredient is zinc oxide (this is what protects you from harmful rays) and it contains natural plant extracts to keep your skin moist and protected.  NO CHEMICALS AT ALL IN THIS SUNSCREEN. I’ve had many issues with chemical based sunscreens in the past – they cause a brown pigmentation to appear on my face (from the chemicals), and I also break out due to all the mineral oils that clog the pores as the skin can’t breathe.

From my experience (and issues I’ve had) an organic sunscreen with zinc oxide as the main ingredient is the best choice.  A little bit goes a long way with the Reflect Outdoor Balm.  I’ve even put this on after cleansing my face and basically used it as my moisturiser.  Depending on the time of year (eg summer), and what’s happening with my skin, I sometimes feel I don’t need anything else.  All the ingredients are beneficial for the skin and it has a nice light texture – no thick greasy film left on your face!  Make sure you grab some of this for summer which is just around the corner!
